Prime Minister's 2010 Vocational Prizes awarded
The Minister for School Education, the Hon Peter Garrett MP, has announced the winners of the 2010 Australian Vocational Student Prize and Prime Minister’s award for Skills Excellence in School.
Applicants must be employed as an apprentice at time of enrolment.
The course is delivered both on and off the job. The total duration for this full time course is 970 nominal hours*.
*All Apprenticeships have a nominal term - this is the timeframe that is on the Apprenticeship training contract. The nominal hour total is the amount of time that it's reasonably expected that someone could become competent and complete their Apprenticeship. This figure is a guideline and does not restrict their learning progress.
To obtain a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade 32 Units of competency will be completed in the following areas:

The announcement of the Australian Defence Technical Scholarships has seen the ATCNB take out 35 scholarships, an increase of 20 on last year.
