Prime Minister's 2010 Vocational Prizes awarded
The Minister for School Education, the Hon Peter Garrett MP, has announced the winners of the 2010 Australian Vocational Student Prize and Prime Minister’s award for Skills Excellence in School.
This course is provided for apprentices and employers with apprentices requiring off-the-job training in a practical environment.

This qualification delivers the basic foundations and content for students to develop the skills and knowledge used in the building and construction industry, specialising in carpentry and framing techniques. Students will also learn how to apply safe work practices necessary for the safe use and maintenance of a wide range of tools and equipment generally used on-the-job. These include:
Carpenters construct, erect, install, finish and repair wooden and metal structures and fixtures on residential and commercial buildings.
