The Certificate II in Creative Industries is run in accordance with the nationally recognised Screen and Media Training Package. Therefore qualifications gained are recognised throughout Australia and will account as "Recognition for Prior Learning" for further tertiary studies in related screen and media areas. The content is designed to cover screen and media activities in all industry sectors and within all types of organisations.
Screen and media competencies are closely aligned with the Employability Skills defined by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations as competency standards that accurately reflect industry requirements.
Screen and media skills enable us to take advantage of opportunities as they come, and also enable us to thrive on them. During the Certificate II course, we explore the role of individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks in the creative industry sectors, work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context.
