If you are considering employing a first year Apprentice, then you should think about taking on Two Australian School-based Apprentices (ASbAs) from the Australian Trade College North Brisbane. Our student-apprentices work on a four week rotational basis which means that you always have a first year ASbA at work - they attend College for four weeks then work with their employer for four weeks.
The Australian Trade College North Brisbane provides a large number of Australian School-based Apprenticeships each year to industry in Carpentry, Electrotechnology, Fabrication, Fitting, Automotive, Cabinet Making, Bricklaying and Commercial Cookery.
For the first 18 months, as a School-based Apprentice, we offer off-the-job training at no cost to employers. We can then provide their training as 3rd and 4th year apprentices as well. Most employers employ 2 student-apprentices back-to-back so that they always have an apprentice at the worksite.
