Prime Minister's 2010 Vocational Prizes awarded
The Minister for School Education, the Hon Peter Garrett MP, has announced the winners of the 2010 Australian Vocational Student Prize and Prime Minister’s award for Skills Excellence in School.
This course is provided for qualified trade technicians and 4th year apprentices that are working in the Automotive Mechanical Industry and required to service and repair airconditioning systems.
Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical (Air Conditioning)

This qualification will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to install and service automotive air conditioning systems and apply for restricted licencing issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council.
An Automotive Air conditioning Licence is required for businesses undertaking the following tasks:
To obtain this licence a Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical (Air Conditioning) is required to make an application to the Australian Refrigeration Council.

This qualification meets the Federal Government's new Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 2003 regulations.
The course offers participants enhanced skills and increased confidence to apply for opportunities within the Automotive and Marine servicing and repair industry.
On completion of the course graduates can apply for the AAC02 Automotive Air conditioning Licence that allows the holder to handle a refrigerant for any work on air conditioning equipment fitted to a cabin of motor vehicles.
Graduates will complete the program with the skills and knowledge recognised in industry for roles in automotive and marine service and repair. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:
