Prime Minister's 2010 Vocational Prizes awarded
The Minister for School Education, the Hon Peter Garrett MP, has announced the winners of the 2010 Australian Vocational Student Prize and Prime Minister’s award for Skills Excellence in School.
This course is provided for people working or seeking to work in the Telecommunications and/or Data Installation and Servicing Industry.

This qualification provides competencies to select, assemble, set up and maintain simple equipment and systems to a prescribed routine Certification of telecommunication cabling in buildings and premises. On completion of the course participants can apply for the Australian Communications and Media Authority (AMCA) Cabling Provider Rules (CPR) "Open Registration" Cabling License.
The course offers participants enhanced skills and increased confidence to apply for opportunities within the Electrotechnology Industry in the areas of Apprenticeships/ Traineeships, with a focus on continued studies in Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician or Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications.
It includes ACMA requirements for Open Cabler registration. To obtain registration after completing this qualification - you will be required to have 6 months cabling experience.
